Morphin Time is nearly upon us!
There’s been a whirlwind of information about the upcoming Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid title released by developer nWay and Lionsgate Games. First off, we know the full nine-character base roster, which will consist of the following characters:
- Jason Lee Scott (Red Ranger) – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Gia Moran (Yellow Ranger) – Power Rangers Super Mega Force
- Goldar – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Magna Defender – Power Rangers Lost Galaxy
- Mastadon Sentry – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Tommy Oliver (Green Ranger) – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Lord Drakkon – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Ranger Slayer – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
- Kat Manx (Kat Ranger) – Power Rangers Space Patrol Delta
We also know that there will be there post-launch DLC characters released as part of the Season One Pass included in the $40 Digital Collector’s Edition, which will also contain a Pink Ranger skin for the Ranger Slayer, and Lord Drakkon’s Evo II skin. A V2 skin for the Green Ranger is also available as a pre-order bonus. The Battle For The Grid Twitter account has also announced the game’s release dates, which vary by region and platform.
Nintendo Switch and Xbox One players will be the first to receive the game this Tuesday, March 26th, while PlayStation 4 players in Europe will get their hands on later next week on Thursday, March 28th. Unfortunately, PlayStation 4 users in the U.S. will have to endure the longest wait, as the game won’t be available until Tuesday, April 2nd.

In the meantime, we’ve got a large amount of gameplay footage for you to check out, with the title’s official gameplay trailer, a character reveal trailer for Lord Drakkon, the first two rounds of the “Morph Madness” tournament, some matches between the likes of Justin Wong, Clockw0rk, and ShadyK recorded by NerdJosh, as well as the master of the Wong Factor’s half-hour analysis of the game, and his thoughts. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is currently available for pre-order in both a $20 standard edition, and the $40 Digital Collector’s Edition, which will also provide PS4 players with an exclusive theme.
