With V-Jump announcing the two Z-Fighters earlier this week, the latest issue of Shonen Jump has revealed more information on Piccolo and Krillin in Dragon Ball FighterZ. The magazine also states that DBFZ will have a Replay mode, where fighters can rewatch and react to previous battles.
Along with Light Grenade and the Special Beam Cannon, Piccolo will have the use of Hellzone Grenade as one of his special techniques. This powerful attack — first used on Android 17 during the Artificial Humans Saga — has the Namekian surrounding the opponent with Ki blasts, which then hit the enemy all at once.
As for Krillin, not only is his Destructo Disc an unblockable, but he can summon multiple Discs if he holds the attack button down. He can also heal either himself or a partner with a Senzu Bean, making him a perfect support character to put on your team.
The Replay mode allows players to place special “emotion stamps” on battle clips, acting as sort of emotes to punctuate certain moments. We may see this Replay feature in the closed beta, so look out for plenty of people spamming Cell faces whenever you stage a big comeback.
