Stunfest Releases 2016 Tournament Schedule

Ahead of the proceedings next Friday, the organizers of Stunfest 2016 have released the tournament schedule for their event, listing all the various games that will be playable. Street Fighter V is the main source of competition, with Stunfest being a European Premier Event on the Capcom Pro Tour, but there are plenty of other fighting games that will be in attendance, too.

Friday sees the 2v2 event for Street Fighter V, as well as tournaments for Soul Calibur V, Capcom vs SNK 2, Hokuto No Ken, Breakers Revenge and even a special mystery games tournament. Saturday will start off pools for Street Fighter V, as well as brackets for Guilty Gear Xrd, Third Strike, King of Fighters XIII, Super Street Fighter 2X and everybody’s favorite Frisbee sports game, Windjammers. To finish off Stunfest, Top 8 of Street Fighter V will on Sunday, along with singles events for Super Smash Bros for Wii U, BlazBlue and Mortal Kombat X. If you are hungering for more teams action, there will also be 3v3 teams for Ultra Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter 2X.

The Beast himself, Mad Catz’ Daigo Umehara has announced that Stunfest 2016 will be his next tournament appearance, so if you wish to see the Ryu master in action, make sure to tune in. All the Street Fighter V action will be on the usual Capcom Fighters Twitch channel while Stunfest has yet to announce who is streaming the other tournaments.
