Here are the updated game numbers following the end of early bird registration!
With the period of early-bird registration closing on Monday, Evolution Championship Series organizer Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cellular has revealed the updated standings for the main nine games on Twitter. Most notably, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently clenching the top spot, with over 1,000 entrants, perhaps signifying that uniting the entire Smash community under a single banner is paying off.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition has supplanted the second position from Tekken 7, and Under Night In-Birth continues its upward momentum by cracking the Top 4. Samurai Shodown has had a nice boost up to 5th place, while Dragon Ball FighterZ, which lead the pack last year, has fallen down to 7th, behind the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11. SoulCalibur VI and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle bring up the rear at 8th and 9th. You can see Mr. Wizard’s Tweet below.
