Eager fans in Japan have been able to slake their thirst for Tekken 7 with a limited release over the past few days, trying out the new system mechanics and characters through the title’s arcade-to-arcade network system, but now Bandai Namco Games is ready to reveal the official release date.

According to a new countdown currently in place over on the Tekken 20th Anniversary website, Tekken 7 will fully arrive in game centers across the world on March 18.

In addition to updated abilities like Rage Arts and Power Crushes, this seventh installment in the popular 3D franchise introduces a handful of newcomers, including the series’ first Saudi fighter Shaheen (pictured above) and controversial catgirl Lucky Chloe.

While there’s not a whole lot of information regarding what this official release will bring, players can expect offline play and training mode, Avoiding the Puddle reports.

Tekken 7’s worldwide launch is sure to bring us even more footage of the new fighter but, for now, feel free to let us know what you think of what you’ve seen so far in the comments.
