One of the theories as to why Capcom decided to push back Ultra Street Fighter IV’s ver.1.04 patch was so that players at Capcom Cup wouldn’t have to go into the competition without ample time to grow accustomed to newly added balance changes, and a recent announcement about its release date seems to back that up.
According to Japanese game center Candy Western Ishibashi, the next update to Ultra Street Fighter IV is scheduled to land in arcades on December 15, two days after Capcom Cup. Ver.1.04 will bring with it the animal-themed Wild costume pack as well as bug fixes and balance changes.
As for what is going to be changed, those details are still unspecified, but Capcom’s Peter “Combofiend” Rosas previously mentioned that Dee Jay is more than likely being looked at.
Word has yet to be released on when this update will arrive on consoles, so stay tuned.
