World of Warcraft – Latest PTR Patch Reveals Increased Minimum Graphics API & General Requirements

The WoWhead team has taken a hard look at the latest World of Warcraft PTR patch notes and found an interesting increase in the minimum graphics API requirements that may impact older cards’ abilities to play the game. In the future, if these patch notes remain unchanged, players will need to have DirectX 11 or Metal installed, have a 64-bit OS and “a model shader 5 capable graphics card or better”.
