Canada Cup 2014 Streaming Live from Calgary, Alberta

This weekend, the fighting game action heads north for another installment of Canada Cup. Much like past iterations, Canada Cup 2014 is set to feature competition in a wide variety of titles, with many notable foreign players making the trip to prove their skills. Pepeday of Fukuoka Gamer’s Club and South Korean powerhouse Poongko will be in town courtesy of Twitch, and you can also expect to see competitors like Filipino Champ, Mike Ross, Team PIE’s Smug, and many more in attendance.

Canada Cup’s official lineup this year features a great mix of old and new titles, including Ultra Street Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late, BlazBlue: Chronophantasma, King of Fighters XIII, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

Injustice: Gods Among Us for PlayStation 4 Heading to PlayStation Plus Lineup in December

While there aren’t many fighting games available for Sony and Microsoft’s latest home consoles at this point in time, one in particular is set to become free next month on PlayStation Network.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Injustice: Gods Among Us without any additional charges in December, allowing early PlayStation 4 adopters to try out the upgraded port for themselves. And, as an added bonus, all of the previously released downloadable content will be tacked on with the Ultimate Edition package.

Fans in Europe will also be able to take advantage of this offer.

We’ll be sure to update those interested as soon as Injustice becomes available through PlayStation Plus, so stay tuned.

Yun Predicts Rose’s Fortune with Useful Ultra Street Fighter IV Option Select

After demonstrating what Yun is capable of pulling off in Ultra Street Fighter IV with Red Focus and the power of a chained Kara-Tenshin, JD is back with another installment of his Cheap Stuff tutorial series. This time, he details an interesting option select the twin can keep in his back pocket when he faces Rose.

When Yun has Rose backed into the corner, he can use the option select demonstrated below to keep her pinned there. By timing a meaty low short, Yun can beat out all of the fortune teller’s escapes.
