While Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-‘s console port is still a month away, its predecessor Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R is already available on PlayStation 3. For those interested in checking out the earlier installment out in preparation for Xrd, it is currently available free of charge for PlayStation Plus subscribers in Japan.

The game is part of a batch of Japanese-developed games that Sony is making available through their premium service in November. Other games included are Earth Defense Force 2025 and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky The 3rd.

While the offer is only available for Japanese PlayStation Plus subscribers, the region-free nature of the platform means that anyone can create a an account for the region and subscribe to the premium service to avail themselves of this offer. Bear in mind that, unlike Microsoft’s Games with Gold program on Xbox One and Xbox 360, you will need to maintain your subscription to continue playing the game.

Dawngate: Why Losing Dawngate is a Shame

Why Losing Dawngate is a Shame

Yesterday, EA announced that Dawngate, its first foray into the MOBA genre, would be shutting down in 90 days. I sometimes find myself surprised at how cynical I’ve become in my years writing about videogames, but this news honestly came as a surprise to me. Was I naïve to think that Dawngate had a snowball’s chance in hell at survival?

Aonien Gets Back to Basics with a Collection of Practical Phoenix Wright Combos for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

A great deal of Phoenix Wright footage has surfaced in recent months, some of it practical and some of it anything but. The importance of knowing lengthy, high-damage combos as well as multiple paths to get them started can’t be stressed enough. It’s important to keep some of the more impractical tactics available to your character of choice in the back of your mind for when certain scenarios arise, but sometimes you just need some solid bread and butters to get you through the match.

With this in mind, Aonien has compiled a collection of combos that will come in handy during nearly every match and can be used in a variety of situations. You’ll learn plenty of ways to follow-up after an air grab (one even offers an opportunity to collect a great deal of evidence), how to hit-confirm into an Objection! for when you’re ready to enter Turnabout Mode, and some simple strings to take advantage of that mode once you start pointing fingers.

Whether this is your first time taking opponents to court or if you’ve won countless cases in the past, this footage has a lot to offer.
