Pick Up Skullgirls Encore, Accompanying Downloadable Content for Cheap on Steam
If you own Skullgirls Encore on console and want to grab a copy for PC, or simply want to try out this promising indie fighter for yourself, Steam’s got your back with a pretty crazy sale this weekend.
Skullgirls Encore and all of its downloadable extras have been marked down by two-thirds, or 66% for all you fraction haters out there. That means the game itself is only $5.09, while each additional piece of extra content that has been released since Lab Zero Games’ successful fundraiser is $1.69 apiece. Eliza, the latest roster addition, will be available for free until December.
With these sales in place, you’ll be able to pick up Skullgirls, along with Squigly, Big Band, and the bonus color palette bundle for less than the game itself is normally priced. I’d call that a hell of a bargain.
Also, if you’re buying for friends, the two- and four-packs have been lowered by the same percentage.
These discounts will be in place until Tuesday, November 18, so be sure to take advantage of them before then.

Guild Wars 2: Getting A Handle On The Grind

I thought this sounded great and I totally bought into the "no grind" philosophy espoused in interviews and the Manifesto.

Training is Fun! Learn Everything You’ll Need to Know About Sakura’s Ultra Street Fighter IV Combos
If you’ve been looking to get into playing Sakura in Ultra Street Fighter IV, but didn’t know where to begin, this combo guide from shano may be exactly what you need to get your Tatsu loops flowing.
The video starts with all the hit confirmation strings you could ever possibly need. Some of them work on all of the cast, but a great deal of them are character-specific and, in these cases, the video details which openers work against which characters and whether or not they have to be standing–a great way to figure out how to squeeze out a little extra damage from simple combos in certain matchups.
Once the simple details are out of the way, shano gets right into the important stuff: Tatsu loop after glorious, damaging Tatsu loop. Shano also covers counter-hit combos, effective FADC combos for smart meter expenditure, and everything else Sakura players will need to know to secure victory.
