Beginner No More – Momochi Launches New Ultra Street Fighter IV Tutorial Series

Evil Geniuses’ Momochi is, without a doubt, one of the best Ultra Street Fighter IV players on the planet. Known for being able to compete with a wide variety of characters, he was the first player to qualify for this year’s Capcom Cup with his win at South East Asia Major 2014.

Now, the Japanese powerhouse has taken some time off to start a new video tutorial series called “Momochi’s Fighting Game Lecture,” dedicated to helping beginning players advance.

For the first episode of this series, he focuses on none other than Ryu. Here, Momochi goes over some basic and intermediate techniques for Ryu such as his moves, footsie tools, and a few option selects.

UltraChen TV Takes a Look at Du “NuckleDu” Dang as He Heads to Capcom Cup 2014

The youngest qualifier for this year’s Capcom Cup, Team Curse’s Du “NuckleDu” Dang is one of the more surprising entries in the tournament. As one of the players who didn’t win a premier event to qualify, NuckleDu earned a good number of his points though online tournaments, narrowly edging out players like AVerMedia’s Bruce “Gamerbee” Hsiang and Evil Geniuses’ Kenneth “K-Brad” Bradley, who competed in more traditional, offline tournaments.

That said, it wouldn’t be wise to underestimate Du. His unique and fearless Guile play has gotten him quite far in tournaments, and his budding Decapre is considered one of the best in the United States.

In their latest Warriors of Capcom Cup video, UltraDavid and James Chen once again analyze tournament play to showcase NuckleDu’s unique style with these characters. Give it a watch to see what this guy is all about.
