Harness the Power of Juri’s Feng Shui Engine in Ultra Street Fighter IV
Triox recently uploaded the fourth tutorial in his series that focuses on how to become a better Juri player. As with previous entries, this video is quite lengthy–over an hour to be exact–and flows quite a bit differently than many of the tutorials you may see floating around forums. Triox’ approach to teaching is favorable to some viewers as it feels much more personal than multiple walls of text interspersed with snippets of combo footage.
This specific video centers around the proper applications of Juri’s Feng Shui Engine. While imposing on its own, that crazy eye of hers can only do so much without the right strategies to back it up. There’s no question that proper use of the Ultra can make for some alarming comebacks or help to further secure a lead, but there’s a lot that needs to be internalized before these situations can unfold on the screen.
Things like the best time to activate the buff, the times when you absolutely do not want to activate, and what can be done once the Ultra timer starts ticking are all covered here, so check out Triox’ latest offering and let us know what you learned.
If you missed out on the previous three tutorials which cover the transition from Arcade Edition to Ultra, maximizing situations and combo damage as well as how to approach footsies, follow this link to take a look.

Greetings fellow Eternal Crusaders, and welcome to this week’s Eternal Crusade article. I hope everyone had a safe and pleasant holiday, if you had one, or a fun weekend, if you did not. This week we will be looking at a few different things, the models for the Chaos Sorcerer and for the Chaos Raptor were revealed during episode thirteen of Into the Warp, the Eternal Crusade twitch show. There were also a couple of "surprise reveals" during the show, and, for once, it was NOT Miguel who slipped.
General: Superheroic Spiritual Successors
In the ashes of City of Heroes the seeds of three spiritual successors were planted. The Phoenix Project now known as City of Titans, Heroes and Villains, and Valiance Online. Two years on and all three are barely little sprouts poking their heads out of the dirt, MMOs do take a long time to develop after all. But it is that time of year where they’re pushed into our thoughts once more. How are they doing you may be asking? That’s a very good question…

Japanese Skullgirls Encore Fans Get a Taste of Arcade Port During First Location Test
Skullgirls Encore recently had its first arcade location test in Japan this past weekend at Akihabara Hey! and Taito Station in Osaka. The public demonstration was well-attended by both veteran players from the home versions as well as newer players wanting to try the game out.
One such veteran, Fychan, took the time to record some offscreen match footage from the location test in Akihabara. The game itself was also being broadcast from monitors around the arcade, making it easy to capture footage.
The game itself was based on the same build that is currently out for the home versions. That said, many players, including Fychan, noticed a bit of slowdown during certain moments as the aging Type X2 boards struggled to cope with the game.
In response to this, Lab Zero Games’ Mike Zaimont stated that the slowdown will be fixed, citing the necessity of location tests such as this to work out the kinks.
Andrewr, the primary developer working on the port, also addressed the issue, saying, “When I was testing the build that’s being used in the location test, I didn’t have any slowdown on my own TypeX2 testing unit. There are a couple of things that could have caused this. Either way, I’ll be getting a lower spec TypeX2 (or throttling my existing one) for when I’m testing Skullgirls, so that I can make sure there is enough performance headroom for actual arcade machines that are throttled down or lower spec. ” He continued by saying that multiple options are available to them in fixing the slowdown, resulting in only minor changes to the visual quality.
Whether or not these fixes will get tested in a second batch of location testing is as of yet unknown. In the meantime, check out Fychan’s photos from the location test below.
