Apex 2015 Staff Releases Updated Schedule, No Events Cut
After the crazy happenings of this morning, which saw Apex 2015 completely change venues due to some rather awful building violations at the original location, many were eager to see how condensing a three-day tournament to only two would affect the event. Would any particular games need to be done away with to make sure the festivities ran smoothly?
Fortunately (and rather miraculously), that won’t be the case. The hardworking Apex staff have just released a revised schedule for this weekend’s event, and there’s enough room to retain the same lineup at the high-profile event.
Furthermore, on-site registration will continue as planned for titles outside Smash, so players who were banking on jumping into the brackets for Ultra Street Fighter IV, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, or other traditional fighters will have no problem doing so at the new location.
This turn of events is just another brick to add to the legacy of the Smash community, who continue to weather whatever storms come their way and push their scene forward. If you need inspiration or just a little pick-me-up, there are far worse places to look.
For links to the new floorplan, scheduled, and more, be sure to visit SmashBoards.
Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-‘s East Coast Community Put Together Character Overviews, First-to-Five Exhibitions
Although North America has only had access to Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- for a few months, folks over on the east coast have been putting in a ton of work (on top of their normal training routines) to help get players into the game and entertain current fans.
The two playlists below, provided by community member Biscuits, provide two very different looks at the Arc System Works title. The first features a overviews for a handful of characters, while the second is all about competition between players like Spooky, BROKENTIER’s Marlinpie, Mynus of Team St1ckbug, Team Spooky’s LordKnight, and more.
Biscuits’ channel is a fantastic resource, both for learning Guilty Gear Xrd and gaining a glimpse of how players on the east coast of the United States are leveling up. Be sure to check out the videos below and keep an eye out for more in the near future.
