Huge Singapore vs. Hong Kong Ultra Street Fighter IV Exhibition Scheduled for This Sunday

This weekend, some the best Ultra Street Fighter IV players from Singapore and Hong Kong will once again face off in the fourth Singapore vs. Hong Kong team tournament. Presented by Tough Cookie and Beast of the East, this event will bring together forty competitors in total, twenty to each side, to decide the stronger region.
While Singapore has won the last three outings, the scores have always been close, with the Lion City only winning by one point each time. Will Hong Kong, led by Humanbomb, finally get their win, or will Singapore, with players such as Evolution 2013 champion Xian and his Razer teammate Gackt, triumph once again?
Find out this Sunday, March 1, by tuning into Tough Cookie at 4:00 PM Singapore time (12 AM PST, 3 AM EST).

Star Citizen: Bringing the Pieces Together – It’s Finally Happening
Star Citizen has been on many players’ radar since crowd funding began. With nearly $75M raised, the team has been hard at work creating the mosaic of the Star Citizen universe and the disparate pieces that will be knit together to create a whole. Destiny: Patch to Bring Big Changes to Weekly Heroic Strikes
After today’s deployment of the v1.1.1 Destiny patch, players will find a major alterations in the way players take on Weekly Heroic Strikes. Once the patch is deployed, mandatory matchmaking for weekly Heroic Strikes on all levels will be implemented. Developers felt that the current system did not demand a cohesive cooperative group. At this point, matchmaking will not include raids, though that is on the table for inclusion at a later date.
Mash Lariat to Victory in Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Arcade Mode
While we usually focus on strategies for fighting against other players here on Shoryuken, occasionally, something pops up for the single-player modes of a game that is too good to ignore. In this case, we have a video showcasing how Zangief can beat Ultra Street Fighter IV by using only one move: his lariat.
Below, Gief Kid shows how defeating the highest difficulty is possible just by picking Zangief and mashing the hell out of his PPP lariat. Now, while the technique isn’t totally foolproof–it’s, frankly, useless against the barrel bonus stage–it’s enough to spin him past every character the game throws at him.
