Hand of Fate: Defiant Development Deals up Pocket Kings

Defiant Development Deals up Pocket Kings

One part board game, one part collectible card game, and one part computer role playing game, Hand of Fate is a witch’s brew concocted by Australian based developer Defiant Development who tossed all of these ingredients into a cauldron and ended up with a game that is as entertaining as it is addictive. It is also one of the most unique games I have played in a very long time.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on Xbox One Facing Compatibility Issues with Mad Catz’ Tournament Edition 2

Over the weekend, a few lucky folks were able to get early access to Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on Xbox One. While most were happy to be able to play the game a couple of days early, a few did notice a rather glaring issue – the game doesn’t work with Mad Catz’ Tournament Edition 2 arcade stick.

This is an interesting issue to say the least as arcade sticks are traditionally game agnostic, simply acting as wired versions of the console controller. The fact that this has become an issue for Last Round gives us an insight into how peripherals are handled differently on Microsoft’s latest console.

In light of this issue, Team NINJA has issued a statement saying that they are working with Mad Catz to resolve the problem.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is scheduled to officially launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in North America later today, with PlayStation 3 and PC releases coming February 24 and March 30, respectively.

Pick Up Some Knockdown Pressure Options for Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Dudley

The folks at Forbidden Tech TV have been hard at work coming up with a training regimen to up Dudley’s level of class a few notches–not that he needs to be any classier. Their newest videooffers up a healthy portion of options to train opponents to stop trying to do anything on their wake up against the tea-sipping scrapper.

The video covers things like how to effectively deal with reversal Dragon Punches after a knockdown, or those pesky fighters who do nothing but crouch tech on their wake up. Many of these setups lead into massive damage that will hopefully make opponents afraid to hit a button, which let’s Dudley do what he does best: get in there and do whatever he wants.

Keep it classy.
