Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s Tron Bonne Adds a TAC Infinite to Her Arsenal
Back around the time the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hit the shelves, Tron Bonne was a powerhouse. On top of having high health to survive all of those initial combos and setups, she also offered access to Gustaf Fire, an assist that ranked right up there with Mike Haggar’s lariat in terms of usefulness thanks to it’s invulnerability. Once this move became easily punishable, Tron lost what was arguably her best (and some might say only) tool.
Since then, the Servbot mechanic has slowly fallen into obscurity in favor of more mobile characters with higher reliable damage output, but she just got a new piece of technology: a TAC infinite. Though this combo only works when performing a downward exchange in the corner, its creator claims to currently be working on side and up exchange variants as well as a down option that’ll work in the middle of the stage.
Does this mean that we’re going to see an uptick in Tron Bonne players at the next major? Probably not, but it does add just a little bit more viability to a character that tends to spend most of her time hanging out at the character select screen. As it stands, if you face off against a Tron Bonne player, mind those down TACs.
