General: 5 MMOs You’ve Probably Never Played

5 MMOs You

I like nothing more than finding some weird or unknown MMO and presenting it like a baby to the world. That’s how it happens in my head, at least, but the truth is that all of the MMOs I find and think "I discovered this!" were already discovered by someone else, or else they wouldn’t have existed for me to find them! Still, it’s important to show off indie or lesser-known MMOs to anyone I can.

SoCal Regionals 2015 Delay Unavoidable, Level|Up Series Announces

After a week of holding our breath, Level|Up Series has announced that the possible delay to this year’s SoCal Regionals is now an unfortunate reality.

Due to construction issues, the event’s original venue is no longer able to accommodate them for the original May 1-3 dates. The hunt for a new location, however, has not resulted in any replacements, so the organizers are currently looking to the next month to hold their tournament.

As of now, they currently have an appointment to secure a venue for June 5-7, but nothing definite can be nailed down at this point in time.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as more SoCal Regionals 2015 details become available.

Kresent Shows How a Hitbox Can Up Firebrand’s Fireball Game in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Everyone has their preferred input method for fighting games and it’s rare to find any clear advantage for using one controller as opposed to another. Generally speaking, the right input method is the one that feels the most comfortable, and in many cases that means the controller type that the given player grew up with.

There are, however, certain situations where a controller can provide a sizable advantage over its counterparts: it’s easier to plink on a fightstick than a pad, for example, and it seems to be much easier to rapidly choke up projectiles as Firebrand in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on a Hitbox than anything else.

To demonstrate this penchant for filling the screen with fire, Kresent has put together a quick video that offers the method that he uses to consistently release flames with the Ghosts ‘n Goblins villain.

And if you didn’t catch Apologyman’s impressive Firebrand combo video earlier this week, which includes things as ridiculous as scoring a combo off of a Team Aerial Counter, be sure to check that out, too!
