In the months leading up to the release of Mortal Kombat X, we’ve been positively bombarded with footage from the game. Everything from character reveals to exhibition matches to bits and pieces of the title’s extensive story mode have tantalized fans of the series. With just over a week left until we can finally pop our own copies of the game into consoles and start the slug fest, the game’s official launch trailer has finally landed.
The trailer, which you can check out below, was directed by Shavo Odadjian, System of a Down’s bassist. Clocking in at just over two minutes, this launch trailer combines gameplay clips and story mode cut scenes with the early 2000s hit single “Chop Suey!” The classic SoaD track also appeared in the official TV spot for the game, which was unveiled at the end of last month.

Square Enix is teasing a new game being developed by one of its Western studios and has posted a rather cryptic image on its Twitter page. The news about the title will be slowly revealed over three days in an "interactive" format. The first information about the new game is set to come to light today on Square Enix’s Twitch.tv channel, though no specific time has been announced.
