In celebration of the first anniversary of Ultra Street Fighter IV’s arcade release, neo amusement space a-cho in Kyoto, Japan is hosting the 5th kiwami 5on5 tournament. Tarezou, Score, dath, KoujiKOG, Hirarin, Kindo, Rokkun, Gonzalez, Meu, Gachi-kun, Storm Kubo, Furikuri, EBI, Tetsuco, kai, Jeppa, Kitasenju DJ, Katakana de Aoki, KARU, Muscle Kingdom, Uryo, 666, wao, Sabo☆Hani, 6, YHC-Mochi, Shimauta, aiai, YOSSAN, Dogura, Haitani, Hishou, MDR and Kindevu are just a few names you might see in this 54 team, 268 player event.

It’s been awhile since most of us have gotten to sit down and enjoy some high-level Melty Blood matches, but it’s about that time of year for it to roll back around.

Transcendental Orchestra is a national 3v3 tournament that holds qualifiers at various arcades across Japan, all leading up to the finals on May 5. Many strong players who we don’t get to see very often come out to participate, and last year it was one of the best events to catch if you wanted to see strong Melty Blood play.

The qualifiers for the tournament have been taking place over the past few months, with various footage being available to watch online. SilentShinobi and MakotoScrub have decided to have some fun tonight over on Donjon Network, and are casually streaming some of the more recent qualifying matches from a-cho. It’s sure to be a good, probably loud time, and provide entertainment for the whole family, so do your best to tune in!
