General: Bard’s Tale IV – Funding Goals Achieved

inXile Entertainment has announced that the Kickstarter crowd-funding initiative for Bard’s Tale IV has been successfully achieved. With over 25 days to go in the campaign, the team will concentrate on stretch goals after receiving commitments of $1.25M from over 28,000 backers.

Frank Buglioni to challenge WBA champion Fedor Chudinov on July 24

British contender Frank Buglioni (16-1-1, 12 KOs) will challenge Russia’s Fedor Chudinov (13-0, 10 KOs) for the WBA super middleweight title at Wembley Arena on July 24 in London.
Chudinov, 27, outpointed Felix Sturm in Germany to claim the title, which was vacated by Britain’s Carl Froch, and the champion will be travelling again to defend it at the same venue his Brother Dmitry was stopped by Chris Eubank Jnr.

Sergio Martinez retires

Former middleweight world champion Sergio Martinez has retired from boxing.
The 40-year-old Argentine brings his glittering career to an end after 17 years as a professional.
Martinez’s retirement was expected. He had not fought since last June after losing the 160-pound world title by a one-sided 10th-round knockout to Miguel Cotto.
