With indie fighter Skullgirls Encore starting to slow down on the update front, what with the myriad of additional characters and balance changes it has received over the past couple of years, there has never been a better time to jump into the title and find out what it has to offer. In an attempt to reel in folks who may have taken a look at the game previously and thought it wasn’t their bag, Evo finalist KhaosMuffins recently released a lengthy video showing that you might want to give it another try.

While not a tutorial by any means, KhaosMuffins’ breakdown highlights the major changes that have occurred since the title transitioned to Encore, explains the game’s undizzy mechanics and reset-heavy nature, goes over the pros and cons of the three team builds, and much, much more.

Skullgirls players are, by far, some of the most passionate fans in the overall fighting game community despite having a rather small scene. That being said, there’s a lot to love in Lab Zero’s flagship title, so be sure to give KhaosMuffins’ video a fair shake below and find out why the game is so beloved.
