Everyone has a fighting chance
Two years ago I dived into Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn not knowing what to expect. Turns out the game had gone through a complete revamp and it made great use of a proverbial phoenix down that are prevalent in the Final Fantasy series. You can read the 2.0 review here. Bungie’s Luke Smith, Creative Director for The Taken King, has taken to the Weekly Update to apologize to veteran Destiny players for the recent dissatisfaction with the pre-purchase program announced for the expansion. Players loudly complained at the inequity of having to re-purchase the full game and the expansion in order to get the collector’s edition perks.
Carbine Studios is ready to unveil what it has envisioned for the upcoming F2P iteration of WildStar. Among other things, players can look forward to new content, an improved tutorial system, item and stat systems will be overhauled, more consistent challenges in dungeons, and new areas including Alpha Sanctum and Cryo-Plex PvP Arena.
Earlier today, a brand new patch was applied to Mortal Kombat X that, in addition to fixing the PlayStation 3 driver and balancing numerous members of the cast, included a sneak peek at the next round of character skins.
As you can see in the gallery below, Jax Briggs, Johnny Cage, and Scorpion will all receive alternate outfits that fall in line with the title’s next post-release character, Predator, by giving players the opportunity to bust out combos as Carl Weathers or an eye-straining infrared ninja.
And, speaking of Predator, the classic movie monster has also appeared in Mortal Kombat X after this latest patch, though unfortunately not in any playable form. At the moment, you can currently check out his profile in the game’s Kollection, but it’s still anyone’s guess as to when he will officially join the roster.
Thinking back to Tanya, details like these started to show up about a month before her release, so it’s likely we’ll receive more word on Predator in the coming weeks.

It’s no surprise that they’ve received a great response to the transition since their announcement of it a few weeks ago, with over 100,000 free-to-play beta signups in the first day.
