More Johnny and Jack-O’ Gameplay Surfaces from Latest Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- Location Tests

Arc System Works is currently holding a second round of Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- location tests in Japan, and with that comes even more information on the gameplay changes and character additions being made in the upcoming revision. While the initial weekend of public testing only resulted in a handful of videos, a couple of Japanese publications recently provided us with some great off-screen footage of the game in action.

First up, Dengeki Online has released rather detailed breakdowns for newcomers Johnny and Jack-O’. While not the high-level footage you’re sure to get from players on the ground, these videos run through each character’s toolset before showing off what they are capable of in a semi-serious match. More competitive replays are sure to come in the near future, but the breakdowns below should serve as a good foundation to learning more about these fighters.

Focusing more on aesthetics than gameplay, Famitsu’s footage focuses on things like intro animations, win poses, and the brand new slowdown that occurs at the end of each match to add some more dramatic flair to the finishing blow.

Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- is scheduled to release sometime this summer.
