Street Fighter V PC Beta Planned for Fall

Although Street Fighter V’s very first beta session will be exclusive to PlayStation 4, Capcom hasn’t forgotten about their fans on PC.

According to the title’s Steam listing, the developers are planning to give PC players the opportunity to try out Street Fighter V sometime this fall. Much like their console counterparts, folks planning to take part in the beta through Steam will need to pre-order the upcoming title.

Street Fighter V currently features a playable cast made up of mainstays like Ryu and Chun-Li as well as returning fighters Charlie Nash and Birdie. Capcom has set this upcoming title apart from its counterparts with new gameplay mechanics that further customize gameplay among the varied roster.

For more details on how the game will play, be sure to check out Heidi “Zerochan” Kemps’ hands-on impressions here and here.

Street Fighter V is set to launch in spring 2016.

Add a Dash of Ultra to Your Game with Bafael’s Most Recent Ultra Street Fighter IV Primer

In addition to opening up a handful of combo opportunities that wouldn’t otherwise be possible, dash Ultras in Ultra Street Fighter IV allow players to discourage opponents from throwing fireballs at a much greater range than normal. For these reasons, anyone playing a charge character should learn to perform this powerful technique as soon as possible

In Bafael’s latest video, he breaks down how to perform both standard and “Flash Kick” Ultra combo inputs following a dash. While this information is undoubtedly old news for many of our readers, players just getting into Street Fighter, or those who have only just recently tried their hand at a charge-based character will be pleased to add this trick to their game.

Team NINJA Pays Homage To the Deception Series With Their Latest Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round Costume Pack

Team NINJA has just released yet another DLC costume pack for Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round. Unlike previous packs though, this latest costume pack pays homage to another classic Tecmo series – Deception.

This isn’t the first time that Dead Or Alive has had Deception costumes – Helena Douglas had a costume based on Reina from Deception III in Dead Or Alive 2 an Dead Or Alive Ultimate.  This time however, the costumes feature a wider range of characters from the series such as Millenia from Kagero: Deception 2, Allura from Trapt/Kagero II, Valgyrie from Deception IV, and many more.  What’s more, similar to the Senran Kagura costume pack, these new Deception costumes feature clothing damage. Cloth rips and armor falls off when characters are hit with powerful blows.

The Deception costume pack for Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round is now available for the PlayStation 4 and XBox One versions of the game. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the costume pack below.
