Punish Eager Opponents with These May Counter-Hit Combos in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-

In certain games, counter-hits are awarded special properties that lead into big damage. Such is the case with Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- where, at the very least, they give more hitstun and can even lead to wallbounces and ground slides.

May is a character that can benefit greatly from these counter-hit situations. In their new video, 2ndState goes over a number of damaging combos that lead from grounded, anti-air, and air-to-air counter hits; some of the strongest can lead to over 50% damage on an unlucky opponent.

2ndState also released a video dedicated to May’s oki game last week, so be sure to check that out as well if you haven’t already.

Vesper Arcade Breaks Down R. Mika’s Street Fighter V Reveal

As some of you may have heard, Rainbow Mika is the latest character to be announced for Street Fighter V. In line with this, Vesper Arcade has done a short breakdown of her reveal trailer.

In the video, Vesper points out that a good of her classic normals have survived the transition from Street Fighter Alpha 3, including what seems to be her forward kick command normal and her crouching strong punch anti-air. He also takes note of her “Stone Cold Stunner” V-Reversal and wonders if it’s a single motion or an actual follow-up.

Another thing he takes note of is how Nadeshiko’s V-Trigger assists seem to combo, or hit off the ground, after some of Mika’s throws, such as the bulldog that she pulls on Vega. Unlike M. Bison’s headstomp OTG, however, it doesn’t seem like the opponent can quick rise out of the follow-up.

Speaking of Mika’s V-Trigger, Vesper also goes over a segment of the trailer that seems to indicate how long it takes before Nadeshiko appears on screen. After activation, Mika is still able to block and punish a roll from Vega before her partner comes out.

Of course, these are just some of the things Vesper talks about in his video. Check it out below to see the rest.

Darleys Perez-Anthony Crolla rematch set for November 21

Anthony Crolla (29-4-3, 11 KOs) will challenge Darleys Perez (32-1-1, 20 KOs) for the WBA lightweight title on November 21, again at the Manchester Arena.
In their first meeting, Colombia’s Perez retained his title by a hotly disputed majority draw in July, but many thought the Mancunian won the close fight, especially because the champion had two points deducted by the referee for low blows. One judge scored it 116-111 for Crolla but the other two had it 113-113. WBA president Gilberto…
