Check Out Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel at SoCal Regionals 2015: Prelude II This Weekend

In addition to featuring an already respectable lineup of popular fighting titles–including everything from Ultra Street Fighter IV to Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX–SoCal Regionals tournament organizers announced yesterday that a playable version of Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel will be available at this weekend’s Prelude II event.

Players will not only be able to get in some casual matches, but they’ll also be able to compete for prizes in free-to-enter tournaments hosted at the Marvelous and XSEED Games booth. If you’re interested in giving the game a shot, be sure to mark your calendars for the SCR 2015: Prelude II event, which will be held in Anaheim, California on August 29.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel is set to hit PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 systems in Japan on December 10 and will be working its way westward later in the winter season.

The Star Wars: The Old Republic forum has been updated with a new post to reassure players that their existing companions will remain available to them outside of the story Chapters in the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. During Chapters, a specific group of characters will be accompanying players.

R. Mika Suplexes Her Way into Street Fighter V

After teasing a reveal for the past week, it seems like Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono finally got his wish: R. Mika will be playable in Street Fighter V.

With only one previous appearance courtesy of Street Fighter Alpha 3, R. Mika’s playstyle is still very much open to interpretation, and the developers have added numerous tools to her repertoire in Street Fighter V to set her apart from her debut.

The wrestler’s V-Skill, for instance, let’s her add a little more hype to the match by delivering a blistering promo. The longer the buttons are held down, the stronger she becomes, and a single layer of armor gives her a chance to build up some serious damage.

Activating V-Trigger, on the other hand, allows R. Mika to call on tag-team partner Nadeshiko. Depending on the direction held, Nadeshiko assists with one of three different attacks, setting up “sneaky attacks and punishing command grab mix-ups” that R. Mika can capitalize on.

Street Fighter V is scheduled to launch sometime in March 2016. R. Mika will be playable at the upcoming PAX Prime convention in Seattle, so stay tuned for more details and gameplay footage.
