The folks over at VGBootCamp recently went live with another installment of Smash @ Xanadu from Xanadu Games in Baltimore, Maryland. These weekly broadcasts provide a great look at the region’s Smash community, and tonight’s installment will feature competition in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

This week’s installment of Next Level Battle Circuit is now streaming live courtesy of Team Spooky. As usual, the event is being broadcast from its namesake, Next Level Arcade, in New York City. Tonight, they’ll be running Ultra Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat X, and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, featuring some of the best players on the east coast.

The folks at Rush Hour Smash recently released the fifth video in their Smash Theory series. This newest addition to their tutorial lineup covers everything Super Smash Bros. for Wii U players should be considering when they find themselves in an edgeguarding situation.

The tutorial stresses the importance of keeping in mind the resources that opponents have at their disposal in order to return safely to the stage–things like jumps, counters, air dodges, and attacks that can challenge attempts at edgeguarding. Any player new to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U should be sure to give this video a view.
