UPDATE (1:22 AM PDT) – Shortly after dropping the assets in our original article, Capcom’s Neidel “Haunts” Crisan provided concrete details concerning Rashid’s background, V-Skill, and V-Trigger.

This quick fighter incorporates his parkour skills into his V-Skill, giving him access to a front flip or roll depending on the player’s input. Both of these attacks come partnered with a unique follow-up, the former a deadly divekick and the latter an upward kick from the ground.

 

Also, Capcom confirmed that Rashid’s V-Trigger, the whirling Ysaar twister, both damages the opponent and increases his movement on any forward-moving attacks, as some have speculated.

All in all, Rashid is looking to be a very speedy, movement-heavy character that’s capable of tricking opponents and setting scary mixup opportunities in motion. For a closer look at how he plays, be sure to check out our previous report with footage straight from the show floor.

With his reveal still fresh in our minds, Capcom has dropped a handful of Street Fighter V screenshots that depict a majority of Rashid’s moveset.

While many of the images are your standard fare–intro, specials, Critical Art, etc.–one in particular caught our eye. Labeled “wind stance,” this screenshot may be our first hint as to what Rashid’s V-Skill does. Of course, one picture isn’t going to explain a whole lot, so we’re going to have to wait for Capcom’s official breakdown to learn exactly what this stance does to Rashid’s playstyle.
