Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Just Keeps Getting Weirder and Weirder

I think we can all agree that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is in a strange place right now. While it still has its fans within the fighting game community, developer support is pretty much done for. The game, as it exists now, will likely see very little change outside of what players discover. But, as we’ve seen for years, we’re a pretty ingenious bunch when we put our minds to it, and new stuff is bound to pop up as folks spend more time with the game.

Case in point, a interesting piece of technology recently surfaced that may have competitive implications. If a player hard tags and then immediately brings the original character back in while the screen is shifting, the game will reset character positions to where they were before the tags were made. The reset happens when the original character returns to neutral.

It’s a little complicated when you put it to words, so check out the video below for a few demonstrations.

As this appears to be fairly new, it remains to be seen whether or not its tournament-ready, but you can count on those dedicated Marvel heads to grind it out until they find something useful. Let us know what you think in the comments.

Norway’s Phenom Shows Why He’s One of the Best Bisons in the World

Like many European players, Norway’s Arman “BX3|Phenom” Hanjani has been grinding it in Street Fighter IV for quite some time with relatively little recognition. He first appeared on the scene while ver. 2012 was still dominating competition, and has since proven himself to be one of the strongest M. Bison players in the world thanks to his methodical play.

Most recently, Phenom found success at Summer Jam 9, where he placed third behind Yomi Gaming’s Dieminion and Red Bull’s Snake Eyez.

In order to give him a little more shine, the folks over at Olympic Gaming put together a respectable compilation of match footage that highlight what he brings to the table in Ultra Street Fighter IV. These include online sets against other European players like IND|OMH and Easyman as well as his fantastic showing against Ryan “Prodigal Son” Hart at Gigacon 2014.

As always, be sure to visit the video description for Olympic Gaming’s interview with Phenom.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Was The Best Demo at Pax

Of all the games I played at Pax Prime this year, Divinity: Original Sin 2 was hands down the best. Don’t get me wrong, I played a lot of amazing things, but playing alongside Swen Vincke, founder of Larian Studios, things couldn’t have gone more wrong in our demo. And I am so glad they did.
