We’ve been covering Motiga’s Gigantic for what seems an age, and yet I’ve never been fortunate enough to play the thing. This year’s PAX Prime changed that, and I am really glad it did. With my Player Coaches over my shoulder (I wish I’d gotten their names!) I charged into battle with Lord Knossos and never looked back.

cR|Sonic Fox Discusses His Recent Grudge Match Against RZR|Perfect Legend, Mortal Kombat X Changes, and More

By now you’ve certainly heard about the first-to-ten (and subsequent best-of-five) between Dominique “cR|Sonic Fox” McLean and Carl “RZR|Perfect Legend” White at last weekend’s Summer Jam 9.

It’s obvious that Sonic Fox enjoyed his perfect showing against White, but now that he’s had some time to process the event, how does McLean feel? The folks at The Daily Dot recently spoke with him to learn just that. In addition to speaking about the event itself, Sonic Fox goes on to break down the history between Perfect Legend and himself, a rivalry that has strong roots in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Sonic Fox also discusses the latest changes to Mortal Kombat X and why he feels that some of them–specifically buffs to Quan-Chi–aren’t the best idea.

Tekken 7 World Championship Qualifier Heading to Southern California on October 3

Southern California is set to receive its very own qualifier for Bandai Namco’s upcoming Tekken 7 world championship, according to Tekken designer Michael Murray. Much like they did for recent location tests, Round One in Puente Hills will play host, continuing their relationship with the Japanese developer.

The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015 will see players decided by various qualifiers congregate in Japan to take part in a substantial competition with over $80,000 USD in cash and prizes up for grabs. So far, only Nobi and Ao have been invited due to their first and second place finishes at Evo 2015, but Bandai plans to fill out the bracket with representatives from South Korea, North America, and more.

Folks interested in joining the festivities in SoCal should mark their calendars for October 3. Additional details on this and a second United States qualifier are still forthcoming, so stay tuned.
