ChangYou Announces Cessation of Chinese Service

ChangYou is reportedly closing down Echo of Soul in China according to a report from MMOCulture. No reason for the cessation of service was given, though it comes closely on the heels of the Korean version’s shut down as well. Aeria Games, publisher of EoS in North America and Europe, issued a statement that indicates development continues and that no plan to close its version of the game imminent.

Time to Say Goodbye - Webzen Announces Closure

Webzen has announced that Archlord 2 will be closing on November 24, 2015 when servers will be deactivated. While no reason is given for the closure, it can be assumed that the game was not turning the profit Webzen wished even though during the course of the game’s relatively short life, over 300,000 players took part in the game with over 5M hours of game play.
