Vesper Arcade Explores Karin’s Tools in Street Fighter V

Karin’s return in Street Fighter V brings with it a lot of changes to the Kanzuki heir’s playstyle. While she still retains some of her moves from Street Fighter Alpha 3, the changes to her Guren Ken will mean that even veterans of that game may need some time to get reacquainted with her.

To help players get to grips with Karin, Vesper Arcade has put together a brand new video that breaks down her moveset. The video uses footage from both her recent trailer and gameplay videos the Tokyo Game Show floor. The latter is especially helpful, as it gives Vesper time to actually go through just about all of her normal pokes, throws, and specials, including some that may not have been shown in the scripted action sequences in the trailer.

Street Fighter V Beta Applications Open in Japan Next Month

While players in North America were able to gain access to Street Fighter V’s beta phases by simply pre-ordering the game, those in the rest of the world needed to apply to get in.

Now, for players in Japan (or those who have Japanese PlayStation Network accounts), Capcom has announced that they will start taking applications for the beta next month. Starting from October 7 to October 14, Capcom Japan will pick 100,000 lucky applicants to participate in the Street Fighter V beta, ten times more than the previous first phase.

Details on the second phase’s beginning date, playable characters, and more are as of yet unknown. That being said, the original announcement image does include a picture of Ken, who wasn’t part of the first beta’s roster, so it’s likely he’ll make an appearance. We’re bound to hear more on this from Capcom in the near future, so stay tuned.
