Then Bracero did just that, re-entering his subconscious by putting O’Connor to sleep a mere 41 seconds into their rematch on the Premier Boxing Champions show on NBCSN, Saturday night from the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, in Lowell, Mass.

This past week we had the chance to interview Brad McQuaid and Chris Perkins about the work on Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The game is really in great shape despite not making its Kickstarter. MMO fans will have a lot to look forward too as the team has: a playable solid core game, gotten its first round of funding, and hit solid internal milestones. Let’s have the guys bring us up to date on the project and give you a few details you may not have heard yet.
Ono Comments on Alex’s Future in Street Fighter V
We’ve been bombarded with Street Fighter V character releases lately, but that’s far from a bad thing. In the last two weeks we’ve learned everything we could want to know about Zangief as well as Sean’s older sister, Laura. Since these recent character announcements have been so closely timed, no one expected a new reveal during Capcom’s Street Fighter V panel today at New York Comic Con–and rightly so–but that didn’t stop executive producer Yoshinori Ono from taking the stage and doing what he does best.
Speaking through a translator, Ono proudly drew attention to his head, upon which sat a “dizzy hat” outfitted with a pair of spring supported chickens, and confirmed what we already knew: there would be no news coming today. After the crowd finished reacting with varying degrees of heavy sighs, Ono made it a point to go on–slowly, and I mean slowly–and mention Street Fighter III protagonist Alex by name. It seemed that everyone in the room had much the same reaction as I did, wondering, “Did he just say Alex?”
He did, but not in the context that we hoped. He was simply remarking on the undeniable popularity of the character, saying, “I was made very aware of how much you guys want Alex, so I will definitely take that with me to Japan.” While this is far from confirmation that Alex will eventually be playable, it’s good to know that our desire to see him return isn’t falling on deaf ears.
For the time being, we’ll just have to settle for gazing on the background of the New York City stage to get our Alex fix.
