Street Fighter V’s Laura Brings the Shock and Awe with Her Moves
If you haven’t had enough info on Street Fighter V newcomer Laura, Japanese site 4Gamer has even more. Below you’ll find the profile for the sexy Brazilian along with a bit of more detail on her moveset.
From 4Gamer:
Laura, the third newcomer to the Street Fighter series, joins the battle! This Brazilian female takes the opponent’s breath away with her looks and abundance of Jiu-Jitsu and electric techniques!
Laura, Passion Dancing on the Heat Wave
Laura is a free-spirited, thrill-seeking personality. She’s an expert in her own style of Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu. She quickly rushes down her opponents and immobilizes them with her signature holds.
Weight: 175 cm
Height: 72 kg
Job/Affiliation: Sean’s older sister/Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu martial artist
Likes: Her younger brother, meat, fights
V-Trigger: Baribari Spark (Spark Show)
As the name suggests, Laura’s hands become covered in electricity. Her V-Skill gains electric properties and Thunder Clap gains increased range.
V-Skill: Volty Line
A splash kick attack. With directional input she dashes forward or back, then unleashes the attack. If you release the buttons she simply executes the step, making it a good way to shake up the opponent.
Special Move: Bolt Charge
An elbow rush attack whose properties change greatly based on the button strength used. The M version of Bolt Charge branches into Split River or Rodeo Break on hit. It’s highly damaging, so be sure to incorporate the move in combos.
Special Move: Thunder Clap
Laura releases a current of electricity from both hands. Charging the attack increases the range and duration of the projectile. On defense you can use it as a defensive wall, while on offense you can use it in combination with other moves, giving it great utility.
Critical Art: Inazuma Spin Hold
Laura grabs the opponent and executes a high-speed electric shock roll! It’s a crazy move that crowds the stage as she rolls about.
Street Fighter V arrives on PlayStation 4 and PC in Spring 2016.

My Smash Corner Explores Kirby’s Hat Combos in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Kirby brings an undeniably unique set of moves to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. On top of having a full set of his own attacks, Dreamland’s puffy pink patriot excels in turning his opponent’s neutral special against them. This makes for some interesting situations, and finds more use in some matches than others–looking at you, Rosalina. If you’re fond of donning match-specific fashion trends, My Smash Corner’s newest video will be right up your alley.
On top of sharing combo options for each hat, as well as setups (where available) My Smash Corner has ranked them in order of usefulness so all you Kirby mains out there can pick up the most important ones first. Since it doesn’t matter how much hat-based knowledge a Kirby player possesses if they don’t have a way to get the hat in the first place, the video also includes some setups for landing that initial Inhale as well.

General: Sorry Game Critics, MGS:V is Nowhere Close to an RPG
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launched last month and across the internet people are labeling it as "pretty much an RPG." We think that’s wrong and are here to tell you why. Plus, Cyberpunk 2077 news, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition gets a release date, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and the ill-fated pre-order promotion and more!
Street Fighter V’s Laura Shines in This Early Gameplay Footage
After being inadvertently leaked twice, Street Fighter V’s Laura Matsuda has now officially been revealed to the world. The older sister of Street Fighter III’s Sean shocks and awes her opponents with a combination of quick grapples and electric attacks. Fans attending Brazil Game Show and New York Comic Con have taken the time to record some off screen footage of the Matsuda heir.
First up, we have a video from Gabriel Simonetti. In his video, Gabriel goes over Laura’s moveset, doing his best to demonstrate them for the camera.
Buttons and specials in a vacuum only mean so much, so next up, we have a couple of videos showing Laura bringing the pain against opponents in actual matches. The first video, by Shack 462, features Laura going up against another heir, the Kanzuki-ryu’s Karin.
In this second bit of match footage, from SClawww, Laura takes on the strongest woman in the world, Chun-Li.
Match footage and move breakdowns are great to see this early on, but if you fancy yourself a Street Fighter fashion aficionado, you’d probably love to see Laura’s second player costume color in action. This video shows exactly that in a lengthy over-the-shoulder shot.
Do note that this is the first time these players are trying her out, so the level of gameplay is still quite rough around the edges.
