Tekken 7 Might Be Heading to Consoles in 2016

Although Tekken 7 has been going strong since its arcade release earlier this year, it’s been nearly impossible for players to get their hands on the game apart from traveling to Japan. Fortunately, it seems like that may change next year.

During a quick interview at Madrid Games Week, Bandai Namco Games Iberica marketing director David Fraile provided an interesting comment regarding Tekken 7’s future.

As the latest installment of their lead fighting game franchise, Bandai Namco made sure to have Tekken 7 cabinets available on the show floor for attendees to try for themselves, and Fraile made mention of these stations, saying that the title will be launching in 2016.

A curious thing to say about a game that’s technically already available, right? This opens up two possibilities: one, Tekken 7 will be heading to Europe as an arcade title, or two, the 3D fighter will finally appear on consoles sometime next year. The second seems more likely, as least to me personally, but feel free to let us know what you think of these new details in the comments.
