Street Fighter Online Series Offers Trips to Capcom Cup
In an area as large as the United States, traveling a state over for a tournament can end up bearing a cost many can’t afford, let alone traveling clear across the country. Fortunately, Capcom has partnered with Level|Up Series to sponsors two online Street Fighter tournaments, with trips to Capcom Cup in December as the grand prize.
If you think you have what it takes in Ultra Street Fighter IV, this could be your chance to spectate this high-level competition in person. There will be two tournaments, both played online with the PlayStation 4 version of the game; one will take place on October 17 and the other is scheduled for November 3. Registration is now live through Challonge, but please be aware that this is open only to players in North America.

As usual, the featured Abel player goes up against some top-notch competition, but something that makes this particular Spotlight stand out from recent entries comes at the end of the reel. Names like Jazdero and CCG|Air certainly impress, but it’s not common that we get to see the featured player competing in a mirror match against someone arguably the best at their own character, in this case, Gustavo “801 Strider” Romero.

Beginning with the most basic information, fans will find out more about Summoners throughout the week, culminating in a special live stream event to be held on Thursday, October 8th at 4:00 pm Pacific / 7:00 pm Eastern.
Rift: Heading ‘Into the Wilds’ On October 7th
Trion Worlds has announced that Rift’s Into the Wilds update will be deployed on Wednesday, October 7th. Rift 3.4 brings a bunch of fantastic new content into the game including a new region to explore, the Primalist calling, a new dungeon and warfront and more.
Guild Wars 2: Beta Event Extended Until Noon PST
Because of an issue with the raiding system being turned off for most of the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns beta weekend, the event has been extended until 12:00 pm Pacific / 3:00 pm Eastern today. Players will be able to check out the new raid system along with the squad UI up until the event ends later today.
Gloria Victis: Headshot! New Mechanics Introduced in Latest Update
The Gloria Victis team has sent word that some new combat mechanics have been introduced that should make game play even more engaging and fun. Players can take advantage of the new headshot mechanic that allows players to both utilize and detect them. In addition, players can now revive unconscious players and new blocking mechanics have been added.
