Four-division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KOs) has been stripped of his WBC middleweight title.
The WBC has elected to strip Miguel Cotto of the belt, only four days before his mega-fight against Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs), claiming the Puerto Rican did not abide by its rules and regulations.
So Cotto will no longer defend it against the Mexican on Saturday night in Las Vegas, although if Canelo wins, he will be the new champion.

Gameforge has announced that the EU version of TERA has launched the new Lost Island starter zone. The new player experience has been completely overhauled to streamline the leveling path to the main game.
Granado Espada Online: Players Invited to Create a Character in New Contest
Grandado Espada EU players are being asked to unleash their creative sides in a new contest to help bring the next NPC into the game. Players have from now through mid-January to create a character based on the game’s lore and locations. There’s a nice package of rewards for winning, most notably the character’s inclusion in the game.
ELOA: Elite Lord of Alliance: Open Beta Kicks Off Today
Webzen has announced that the ELOA (Elite Lord of Alliance) open beta has kicked off. The game’s official release is slated for November 24th. Open beta testers will be able to take on the game through level 30, check out the Mud Swamp Floor dungeon and take part in PvP Blood Bath and Honor Battlefield zones in addition to 1v1 and 4v4 matches.
General: OpenCritic Adds Up Ranking Graphs, New Ways to See Reviews
Open Critic has announced some changes to review displays on games to further facilitate finding the best games out there according to both user and editorial reviews. The new graphs give a visual representation of the distribution of any title scored on OpenCritic and indicates where in the spectrum of all reviews it falls. Rather than simply assign a highly relative numerical score, ranking a title gives a player a better perspective on any game’s overall reception.
General: Tactical JRPG Disgaea is Headed to Steam
Console and JRPG fans will be pleased to hear that 2003’s Disgaea is heading to Steam with a new enhanced and updated version. The PC version is expected to be released in February 2016.
The Secret World: Tie-In Horror Game, The Park, to Launch on PS4 & XB1
Funcom has announced that its horror-themed game, The Park, will be launching on both XBox One and PlayStation 4. The Park is expected to be released for consoles in early 2016. The Park is tied loosely to The Secret World, set in the haunting amusement park from Kingsmouth.
