Today marks the official launch of GimR’s YouTube channel apart from his work on VGBootCamp. No, his Cloud preview doesn’t count; that was more of a soft launch. Anyway, expecting the perpetual wielder of the 9 hammer to dedicate this initial period to Mr. Game and Watch wouldn’t have been a bad line of thought, but as he promised on Twitter at the end of last month, he’s opted instead to spend December producing Ryu content.

He starts things out today with a combo exhibition that makes use of many of the tools the shoto brings to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The footage below is a great place to pick up some ideas for how to make use of Ryu’s moveset, and chances are you’ll be able to pick up one or two things along the way.

And if you didn’t see GimR’s original announcement tweet, we’ve embedded it below. The trailer included is a perfectly goofy homage to an animated sequence that we’ve all seen many, many times before and will certainly continue to see in the future. Be sure to check it out.

The folks behind Churning the Butter have just gone live with another installment of their weekly tournament series, taking over Folsom Street Foundry in San Francisco, California to host Ultra Street Fighter IV. But instead of just local players getting involved, a ton of international talent is also in town tonight ahead of this weekend’s Capcom Cup.

Some of the competitors you can expect to see include YP|Valmaster, Keoma, Problem X, KAP|Poongko, EG|Justin Wong, l|NuckleDu, RB|Snake Eyez, Strider, CCG|Humanbomb, Alex Myers, Velociraptor, Brenttiscool, Julio, pH|LPN, RZR|Itabashi Zangief, YBK|Dashio, MF|Tonpy, YBK|Shiro, pH|Crackfiend, pH|Kelvin Jeon, and many more.

During his appearance at The Game Awards 2015 earlier tonight, former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal shared the very first trailer for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, the sequel to the 90s fighting game that was successfully crowdfunded last year. Their campaign promised one-on-one competition in addition to the single-player and cooperative modes, but very little was shown after they reached their goal.

In the time since then, the previous developer, Big Deez Productions, has been replaced by Sabre Interactive, who most recently released Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One. A Legend Reborn has also seen a number of new characters join its ranks, including a woman with probably the largest bust we’ve seen outside of Dead or Alive, a man who apparently sprays opponents with sizzurp (don’t try that at home, kids), and, perhaps most baffling, a skinhead with a huge iron eagle tattooed on his chest.

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn was originally slated to appear on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, but we’ll have to wait and see if that is still in the cards.

Capcom UK brought Street Fighter V back to the WinnerStaysOn Sessions earlier this week, and this time around they had the help of Tea Mandem, a group that’s been putting out great content for the upcoming game.

With access to the latest build, there was a lot of Laura on display. The newcomer hasn’t been playable outside of events and a recent stress test on PlayStation 4, so this is a chance to see players figuring out what she can do, such as setups with her slow moving projectile.

In addition to Laura, the build also featured returning characters Zangief and Dhalsim. Matches with the latter in particular are interesting, as the players try to come to grips with his greatly changed moveset and floating V-Skill. One in particular sees Dhalsim come up against R. Mika, and the duo proceed to turn the match into something like Marvel vs. Capcom thanks to the presence of assists and what amounts to a flight mode.
