Pick Up Some Practical Birdie Damage in Street Fighter V

If you’re into vests several sizes too small, sweet spiked hair, and massive donuts, you’ll not want to miss TeaMandem’s most recent Street Fighter V combo video. In the footage below, the group aims to provide viewers with a range of combos, moving from the basics to some of the more advanced offerings Birdie brings to the table.

On top of combos, you’ll also see some setups into command grabs and pick up some tips on how to properly use the returning fighter’s V-Skill.

If you enjoyed this video, TeaMandem has also made similar reels for Nash, Cammy, R. Mika and Karin, which you can check out by following their respective links. Do note, however, that many of these older videos were created with early beta builds, so some of the combos present may not work once you get your hands on the game in February. If nothing else, they will give you some ideas of where to get started once the game releases.

Early Street Fighter V Data Confirms Vega is a Speed Demon

While beta tests have given the community the opportunity to explore the surface of Street Fighter V, those who took the time to dig deep into the underlying code have provided a much more concrete look at what makes the game’s characters tick. Case in point, Eternal0Star recently compiled data provided by Dantarion that gives us an idea of how the cast stacks up in terms of walking speed.

This information, which we’ve ordered below, allows us to rank the latest beta roster in terms of both forward and backward movement as well as compare the difference between the two. Sure, Vega felt fast, but now we can accurately describe just how much quicker he is when compared to those on the lower end of the chart like Dhalsim and M. Bison.

Other characters that rank towards the top include Chun-Li and Cammy, matching their respective speeds from Street Fighter IV, while obvious folks like Birdie and Zangief sit near the bottom. A funny note is that Vega can either be a speedster or a doddering old man depending on which region you hail from. Yay localization!

Please note that, as this data was taken from a beta test, it’s entirely likely that nothing will remain the same in the final release.

Black Desert Online: On Gender Locking the Classes

One thing that everyone here at MMORPG.com seems to agree on, with regards to Black Desert, Devilian, TERA, and other imported MMOs, is that gender locking classes is an unwanted practice. As a player, you either have to come to accept it, or refuse to play what could be your preferred class. In a genre that’s original intent was to let you play the character of your complete choosing, locking classes behind certain genders seems in opposition of that intent.

Crowfall: Watching ‘The Making of Crowfall’ in Real-Time

For example, I’ve always enjoyed the Star Wars bonus videos that talk about how George Lucas found the inspiration for the films, how difficult the original movie was to make and the large number of creative and technical changes it went through. It’s hard to imagine Star Wars with Luke Skywalker as a 65 year-old general or Han Solo as an alien with green skin and gills – but it could have happened.
