This news comes courtesy of eagle-eyed NeoGAF user Inaba Resident, who spotted a small promotion on the PlayStation Network advertising the upcoming title and a brand new beta period of December 17-20.
Whether or not this applies to PC users remains to be seen, but there have been reports that this morning’s PlayStation 4 update has also made its way to Steam. We’re sure to learn more when these details are officially announced, but for now you can plan to stay awake for that Star Wars midnight showing with some good ol’ Street Fighter fisticuffs.

Near the end of last month, the folks at Iron Galaxy Studios announced that they still had plans to add Jago’s possessed form to the playable Killer Instinct roster before the turn of the new year. Earlier today, they decided to show the fruits of their labor and confirm that, yes, the edgier version of the game’s protagonist is still on schedule for release this month.
Those looking to get their hands on the new character will be able to do so through purchase from December 18 until January 15; however, if you already snagged the swordsman through the Community Fund Bundle or the Xbox Live Day One Gold promotion, you’ll be able to slice up opponents on December 4.
Once the purchase window closes, Iron Galaxy states “there’s no promise that he will be available again,” so if you’re looking to own a complete roster of characters, don’t forget to grab him while you can. Pricing details are still forthcoming.

During this time, players taking part in level-appropriate shiphand missions will be able to grab hold of Eko Particles that can be exchanged for Eko Chits that can then be used to buy some ship components. Players can put these amazing ship creations on their home plots, sadly not flyable, and show them off to the world via any of the WildStar social media sites.
