Mcfly Shows How Interactables Can Create Safe Pressure in Mortal Kombat X

One element that has become a staple of NetherRealm Studios’ recent fighters, such as Mortal Kombat X, are interactable background elements that players can use mid-match.

In his latest video, Elite Tournament Chile’s Mcfly demonstrates an interesting concept that uses the whiffed startup animation of certain interactables as a way to continue to apply safe pressure.

The exhibition below specifically demonstrates some examples of this with Kung Lao, however the concept itself is applicable to all characters in the game. As a bonus, Mcfly also shows how using the full animation of movement-based interactables can keep a character safe after applying pressure or, as is the case with the Jinsei Chamber, even punish reversals.
