With just a month left to go until Street Fighter V’s release, Bafael continues to release useful primers for players trying to learn the ropes. His most recent videos cover two very different subjects.

The first is dedicated to bread and butter combos for Street Fighter’s resident Spanish ninja, Vega. As usual, Bafael covers anti-air situations, punishes, Crush Counter hit-confirms, and more.

And while we’re on the subject of Crush Counters, the second video deals with a useful technique that utilizes a unique version of the DED option select.

Because the opportunities to build V-Meter are limited compared to the regular super meter, it’s easy to set up situations where Crush Counters will net you the final half-bar of V-Meter you need to fill the gauge. With this in mind, you can freely cancel Crush counters into V-Trigger, which will only come out if the normal connects.
