Humble Bundle Offering Big Discounts on King of Fighters Titles

After celebrating Neo Geo’s 25th anniversary back in December, Humble Bundle returned this weekend with another round of PC sales for SNK fighters both old and new.

This time out, they’re offering heavy discounts on King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition, which is available for only $4.99, as well as King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match Final Edition and King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match, both of which are marked down to $2.99 apiece.

These deals will be available until January 29. As with other Humble sales, 10% of every purchase will go to support a charity of the buyer’s choosing.

Unequalled Media, Capcom UK to Host ‘Goodbye Ultra Street Fighter IV’ Tournament on January 30

When Street Fighter IV launched in 2008, it’s likely even the wildest dreams didn’t expect the title reach its eventual heights. Now, less than a month until the launch of its successor, Unequalled Media and Capcom UK will be giving the biggest fighting game of its generation a proper send-off.

Unequalled Media will host a farewell Ultra Street Fighter IV tournament at Capcom UK’s headquarters with £1,000 in cash prizes up for grabs on January 30. Street Fighter V will also be playable at the event.

General: Hero’s Song – The Game John Smedley Has Always Wanted to Make

If you have not read the news today, then it’s time to catch up on Hero’s Song. The first game from John Smedley’s new team is launching on Kickstarter this morning. This new open world MMORPG can be played in multiple ways. You can actually go through the game single player, host your own server, and play with thousands of others in a sandbox game. John said he always wanted a game like this and now fans of old school RPGs and MMOs, with a wish for something new, are in for a treat.

General: Smedley & Patrick Rothfuss Team Up for New ARPG

John Smedley is ready to reveal what he’s been up to for the past several months after leaving Daybreak Game Company last summer. He has formed a new studio called Pixelmage Games that is already hard at work on Hero’s Song, a 2D pixel art action RPG. Pixelmage is hoping to raise $800,000 to complete development on Hero’s Song and grow the team from the thirteen that currently are working on the game.
