Earlier today, Olivier “Luffy” Hay announced that he has signed with Red Bull. This news comes shortly after the French competitor revealed he had left his previous sponsors, Meltdown, to pursue other opportunities.

Luffy is perhaps best known for his spectacular showing at Evo 2014, where he took home first in Ultra Street Fighter IV. Since then, he has competed at Capcom Cup twice, placing third in 2014 and ninth in 2015, and secured numerous championships across the world.

With this signing, Red Bull adds another international star to their impressive fighting game roster, which also includes Darryl “Snake Eyez” Lewis of the United States and Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi of Japan.

We can look forward to seeing Luffy compete in Street Fighter V throughout the 2016 season.
