Use Stance Changing to Quickly Recharge Quan Chi’s Armor in Mortal Kombat X

One of the unique tools available to Quan Chi’s Sorcerer variation in Mortal Kombat X is his Dark Curse. By using this move, he can gain armor that allows him to absorb one hit for a limited amount of time.

One drawback, however, is that Quan Chi’s armor has both a time and hit limit, forcing players to keep returning to the green Dark Curse circle to recharge it. But in a recent video, PND|Ketchup demonstrates how Quan Chi players can instead use the game’s stance change button while at the edge of the circle to quickly recharge his armor.

The technique works because the game’s 3D hit detection makes it so that Quan Chi is momentarily outside the circle during the stance change. Quan Chi players can utilize this quirk to continually recharge their armor and force their opponent to back away in an effort to pull him away.
