Level|Up Series Eyeing October Dates for SoCal Regionals 2016
With a brand new year of competition already in full swing, tournaments across the globe have begun announcing plans for their next installments. The same can be said of SoCal Regionals as of this morning thanks to an announcement by organizer Alex Valle.
Level|Up Series is apparently targeting October 14-16 as the SoCal Regionals 2016’s official dates. Due to the language, it’s entirely possible these may change in the future, but players now have something to start planning around until official details drop.
Venue issues forced SoCal Regionals to delay last year’s event from summer to fall, though a pair of Prelude events held competitors over until then.
Keep your eyes on Shoryuken for the latest information as it becomes available.

Last weekend was a big one for Killer Instinct players. On top of getting a first look at Kim Wu and hints at another crossover character, the community was treated to the high-level play of the Killer Instinct World Cup.
Hosted by San Antonio’s Ultra Arcade, this tournament worked to perfectly punctuate Killer Instinct’s second season by bringing out the game’s best players to compete for big cash prizes. If you missed the tournament, Maximilian recently uploaded the event’s top eight so you can get catch up on all the action below.
