Professional Wrestler Kenny Omega Heading to Community Effort Orlando 2016
Recent years have seen Community Effort Orlando morph from a tournament series with an inspiring backstory to one of the biggest events around. Part of their success comes from embracing aesthetics outside the world of fighting games and running with them, such as their numerous nods to professional wrestling.
Sure, they’ve given belts as prizes and held finals in a giant wrestling ring, but CEO 2016 is set to blow everything out of the water with a special guest you may have heard of once or twice before.
That’s right, Kenny Omega will be making the trip to Florida for a head-on collision with the fighting game community!
For those of you out of the loop, Omega is New Japan Pro Wrestling’s reigning IWGP Intercontinental Champion and leader of the ultra-popular Bullet Club stable. He’s previously contributed to a handful of Cross Counter episodes alongside Ryan “Gootecks” Gutierrez and Mike Ross, but will be taking his involvement in the scene a step further with this upcoming appearance.
(Oh, and, a couple of fun facts: he once performed a Final Atomic Buster on a blow-up doll and his list of finishers currently includes a move called the V-Trigger. Dude likes fighting games.)
If you want to check out Community Effort Orlando 2016 when it rolls around in June (and possibly meet Kenny in pools), be sure to visit their official website for more details.

King of Fighters XIV’s Graphics Continue to Improve
When the King of Fighters XIV was first announced last September, many took issue with how the game’s new 3D graphics. Perhaps as a response to this feedback, SNK Playmore has been slowly but surely making tweaks and changes to the graphics in each succeeding build.
In his latest video, ATRyoSakazaki cuts together clips from King of Fighters XIV’s various trailers and gameplay footage, directly comparing similar scenes to showcase just how much the visuals have been tweaked each time. This helps highlight some of the subtle changes that have been made, such as improvements to the lighting, textures, and, in some cases, even the facial features of some characters.
