Black Desert Online: A Game of Knowledge

This week, I’d like to tell you all a little story. It’s a story of treasure maps, hidden caves, idiot workers, and an imp named Red Nose. Black Desert Online continues to utterly grab me by the Ghoulies, and I’m finding out just how refreshing it is to play an MMORPG that doesn’t prescribe to preconceived notions of what an MMO should be. Pearl Abyss did things their own way, made the game they wanted to make, and while it’s not perfect is sure is refreshing.

Battleborn: Incursion Mode Revealed

2K and Gearbox have posted a new blog that reveals the first information about Incursion mode. During Incursion, two teams of players are dropped in the middle of a map and charged with finding and destroying Sentry Bots and claiming territory.

General: YouTube Gaming – 6 Months In, Mobile App & Improvements

YouTube Gaming has been live for about six months. During this time period, developers have been collecting community feedback for both the mobile and browser versions of the popular streaming platform and have been making iterative changes to help viewers find their favorite games and streamers. In addition, both the Android and iOS versions of the mobile app are now live.

ArcheAge: Botters and Gold Farmers Put On Notice

The ArcheAge site has good news for most players, bad news for those who choose to use third-party bots and hacks. A new program has been put into place that has significantly improved the team’s ability to detect the use of bots and to subsequently put into play new enforcement rules.

Trove: Of Leaderboards and Shadow Worlds

As we near closer and closer to the launch date of Trove’s Mantle of Power update, we’ve been talking with Trion’s Andrew Krausnick about all the different features coming to the game. Now, sneakily, the Trion folks put in the Leaderboards’ first incarnation just this week.
