Learn How to Effectively Add Throws to Your Game in Street Fighter V

Figuring out how to apply throws can be a daunting task for newcomers. On top of all the combos, setups, buttons–just, actual, total buttons and their functions–it’s understandable for this mechanic to go unnoticed until these new players find themselves on the receiving end of an opponent who capitalizes on their blatant lack of familiarity with hitting jab and short simultaneously.

With this in mind, jmcrofts crafted another beginner-friendly Street Fighter V tutorial focused on this important part of effective offensive pressure. While the video does focus on applying throws as an offensive tool, it’ll also help those new to the series (or genre) know when to look out for throws to help them mount a defense.

These top uses are, of course, far from the only times throws come into play, but they are three undeniably common situations where players may find themselves tossed to the digital dirt.

NESiCAxLive Launches at All Round 1 Locations

Taito’s NESiCAxLive service has been something of a boon for arcade operators, as the digital distribution service allows them to easily gain access to a number of titles for their customers without the costs associated with having to purchase and install new arcade boards.

While primarily available in Japan, the NESiCA system made the trip to Southern California last year thanks to Round 1. And now, after a successful few months, the organization has expanded this effort to all of their North American locations.

Further details on which games will be available are still forthcoming, but it’s likely the NESiCA cabinets in question will be restricted to Ultra Street Fighter IV and BlazBlue: Chronophantasma EXTEND, similar to their initial showing in Southern California. Whether or not the rest of the lineup, which runs the gamut from classics such as Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and King of Fighters 2002 to lesser known modern titles like Aquapazza and Nitroplus Blasterz, will ever appear remains to be seen.
