As you may have already seen, Razer’s Seon-woo “Infiltration” Lee just won the Street Fighter V tournament at NorCal Regionals 2016, his second in as many weeks. But, since the Korean competitor already earned a Capcom Cup spot thanks to his performance at Final Round 19, many are confused as to what happens next. Does the reward drop to the runner-up, Mad Catz’ Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi, as it has in the past?

The system is actually a little more complicated than that this year, but it should save some headaches later on down the road. Capcom’s official ruling reads as follows:

Unlike the new regional leaderboards, which are focused on specific areas of the world, the global leaderboard mentioned in the quote above is comprised of the eleven events Capcom has designated as premier destinations, like Final Round and NorCal Regionals.

Originally, the plan was to pull the eight highest-ranked players, excluding the outright qualifying champions, from this global leaderboard, but nine is the new total thanks Infiltration’s dominating performances. The full breakdown now looks something like this:

• 10 players from Global Premier Events
• 1 player from Evo 2016
• 4 players from Regional Finals (1 from each event)
• 8 players from regional leaderboards (top 2 from each region)
• 9 players from the global leaderboard
